BEGINNER GROUPs
Beginner Groups are run throughout the year depending on demand.

You will learn the fundamental basics of playing this wonderful instrument including-
* Introduction to the ukulele (parts, strings, tuning)
* How to play basic chords and how to read chord charts and tablature.
* Simple strumming and finger-picking techniques
* Introduction to basic music notation and musical scales.
* Learn simple songs and become part of an orchestrated group(songs arranged into simple parts that create a harmonised ukulele orchestra).

INTERMEDIATE GROUP
The Hungry Head Uke Group meet on a Thursday evening from 3-5pm in Winter and 5pm-7pm in Summer. If you are an intermediate beginner to advanced player then this group will suit you. The Hungry Head Uke Group are an enthusiastic group who love spending time together playing music from different genre's and eras. The songs are arranged by Vanessa to allow for the varying levels of music experience so that everyone can feel comfortable within their part. Cost is $10 per session. Once a month, the group get together in a social setting for a jam session. These sessions are free.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Vanessa Nugent is a qualified and certified ukulele teacher with internationally recognised qualifications and many years experience. She offers private lessons at her home in Hungry Head for adults and cost is $50 per hour.
PERFORMANCE GROUP
If you are interested in performing then you may choose to join our performing group. Rehearsals are an integral part of being a member of the group so you will need to make a small level of commitment leading up to a performance.
